Career.zycto is expanding its network of talented freelance photographers in Anchovy, St. James, and surrounding areas. We are seeking a versatile and passionate Photographer specializing in both event and commercial assignments. This freelance role offers the exciting opportunity to collaborate on a diverse range of projects, from capturing the vibrant energy of local community events, corporate gatherings, and private celebrations, to producing compelling visual content for businesses, products, and brands.
We are looking for individuals who can not only deliver technically excellent images but also possess a strong artistic vision and the ability to tell a story through their work. The ideal candidate will be highly professional, reliable, and capable of working independently while adhering strictly to project briefs and deadlines. You will be instrumental in helping our clients enhance their visual presence, celebrate key milestones, and effectively communicate their brand message through high-quality photography. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute photography assignments for events (e.g., weddings, parties, corporate functions, festivals) and commercial projects (e.g., product photography, headshots, real estate, lifestyle shoots).
- Consult with clients to understand their vision, objectives, and specific photography requirements for each project.
- Manage all aspects of photography, including lighting, composition, camera settings, and equipment setup.
- Perform post-production tasks such as culling, editing, retouching, and color correction to deliver high-quality, polished images.
- Ensure timely delivery of final edited images to clients in specified formats and resolutions.
- Maintain and care for professional photography equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition.
- Develop and maintain a strong portfolio showcasing a range of event and commercial work.
- Represent Career.zycto and its clients professionally at all times.
- Adhere to project briefs, timelines, and budgets, communicating proactively about any potential challenges.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Event and/or Commercial Photographer.
- Expert proficiency with professional-grade DSLR/Mirrorless cameras and lenses.
- Strong understanding of photography principles, including lighting, composition, and exposure.
- Advanced skills in photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and subjects.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of event and commercial photography.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal training or degree in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with studio lighting setups and portable flash systems.
- Familiarity with drone photography for aerial shots (advantageous for certain projects).
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of current photography trends and techniques.
