Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person, resolving hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripheral equipment.
- Administer user accounts and permissions in Active Directory and other relevant systems.
- Perform routine system checks, backups, and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems, including LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi issues.
- Document all support activities, resolutions, and procedures in our ticketing system.
- Assist with IT asset management, including tracking inventory and procurement of new equipment.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff on larger projects and infrastructure improvements.
- Provide basic training and guidance to users on new software or IT policies.
- Ensure compliance with company IT security policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and Microsoft Office Suite (O365).
- Experience with Active Directory user and group management.
- Strong understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Proven experience troubleshooting hardware issues (desktops, laptops, printers).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues methodically.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate).
- Experience with virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools.
- Basic knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server).
- Experience with basic scripting (e.g., PowerShell).
