Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, maintaining dignity and privacy at all times.
  • Support clients with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment and techniques safely.
  • Administer medication in accordance with care plans and company policies (following training where necessary).
  • Prepare and assist with meals, ensuring dietary requirements are met and promoting healthy nutrition.
  • Perform light household duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities, promoting social interaction and mental well-being.
  • Assist with shopping, appointments, and other errands, supporting clients to participate in their community.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records, reporting any changes in client condition or concerns to the senior care team.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, company policies, and relevant legislation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a care assistant, support worker, or similar role (minimum 6 months).
  • SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
  • First Aid certification.
