Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all production machinery and facility equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend asset lifespan.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems failures, implementing effective and lasting repair solutions.
- Respond promptly to breakdown calls, prioritizing urgent issues to minimize production downtime and maintain operational continuity.
- Execute corrective maintenance actions, including dismantling, repairing, and reassembling machinery components.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and calibration of new equipment and machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with production teams, engineering, and external contractors to coordinate maintenance schedules and projects.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and production staff as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues effectively.
- Familiarity with various diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
- Solid understanding of industrial safety protocols and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 'Techniker' qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
