Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly upon arrival and provide attentive assistance with their tyre service inquiries and needs.
  • Perform basic tyre inspections, rotations, repairs, and balancing under the direct supervision of experienced technicians.
  • Assist senior technicians with the efficient mounting and dismounting of various types of tyres.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the tyre shop area, including all tools, equipment, and customer waiting zones.
  • Safely store and retrieve tyres, ensuring proper organisation and accurate inventory management.
  • Actively learn and strictly adhere to all company safety protocols and operational procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Operate basic tyre service equipment accurately and safely, following thorough training and guidelines.
  • Provide clear, concise, and friendly information to customers regarding services performed, products offered, and future maintenance recommendations.
  • Support the overall team effort to ensure efficient workshop operations and timely completion of services.
  • Assist with other general workshop duties as assigned by the shop supervisor or management.

Required Skills

  • No prior experience required; this is an entry-level position designed for eager learners.
  • Strong willingness to learn new skills and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
  • Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent General Certificate of Education (GCE/CXC).
  • Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance, automotive parts, or general mechanics.
  • Possession of a valid Jamaican Driver's License (General Driver's Licence).
  • Previous experience in any customer service or hands-on role.
