Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, payroll, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure robust financial control and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., HGB, IFRS).
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to establish financial targets and monitor performance against budget.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing strategic recommendations to management.
  • Oversee cash flow management, liquidity, and investment activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal controls.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, implementing effective risk management strategies.
  • Mentor and develop junior finance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar senior financial role (minimum 5 years).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (HGB, IFRS) and financial regulations.
  • Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting complex financial information clearly.
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst).
  • Experience in the financial services or consulting industry.
  • Familiarity with digitalization trends in finance and experience with financial software implementation.
