Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
- Coordinate and schedule efficient delivery routes for local and regional distribution, optimizing for cost and time.
- Manage inventory control systems, conduct regular stock audits, and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective services.
- Implement and enforce warehouse safety protocols and compliance with relevant industry regulations.
- Prepare and analyze logistics reports, identifying trends and recommending improvements to operational processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve logistical issues, such as delivery delays, damages, or discrepancies, in a timely manner.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software for tracking, reporting, and process management.
- Train and supervise junior warehouse staff and delivery personnel, fostering a culture of efficiency and accountability.
- Ensure all documentation, including manifests, delivery notes, and customs forms, is accurate and complete.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in logistics coordination, warehouse management, and delivery operations.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Fishbowl).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
