Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and delivering engaging instructional activities.
- Provide one-on-one and small group academic support to students requiring additional assistance.
- Help prepare, organize, and distribute instructional materials and resources.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and teachers.
- Reinforce classroom rules and procedures to maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.
- Assist with classroom management and supervision of students during various activities.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to identify student needs and implement appropriate support strategies.
- Support students with technology integration and digital learning tools.
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents/guardians as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic performance.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an educational or childcare setting (volunteer or paid)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and learning abilities
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace)
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field
- Experience with special education or differentiated instruction
- Knowledge of various learning strategies and academic support techniques
- First Aid and CPR certification
