Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide medication reminders and assist with mobility.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities such as reading, games, or conversations.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health, behavior, or well-being to the appropriate contact.
- Accompany clients to appointments or outings as required.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and client progress.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a caregiver or in a similar role (at least 1 year).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and compassion.
- Ability to perform light physical tasks.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Experience with clients suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Fluency in additional local languages (e.g., Swahili).
