Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and proactive Clinic Attendant & Patient Support professional to join our team in a dynamic clinic environment located in Hurlingham, Nairobi. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet patients and visitors upon arrival, directing them appropriately and providing necessary information.
- Manage patient registration, appointment scheduling, and record-keeping with accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist patients with pre-appointment preparations, guiding them through clinic procedures and paperwork.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of waiting areas, reception, and patient common areas.
- Handle incoming phone calls, address patient inquiries, and redirect calls to appropriate medical staff.
- Prepare examination rooms for patients, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available and sterilized.
- Assist medical professionals during consultations or procedures as required, under direct supervision.
- Manage patient flow to minimize wait times and optimize clinic operations.
- Process patient payments, manage billing inquiries, and handle petty cash as per clinic policy.
- Ensure strict adherence to patient confidentiality and data protection regulations (HIPAA/GDPR equivalent).
- Monitor and replenish clinic supplies, reporting stock levels and ordering needs to management.
- Provide basic first aid assistance in emergencies, escalating to medical staff as appropriate.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of patient educational materials.
- Collaborate effectively with all clinic staff to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinic, hospital, or customer service setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Swahili.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, clinic management software a plus).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
