Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using various POS systems.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and other tender types, ensuring correct change and reconciliation.
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service, answering questions and resolving minor issues.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional checkout area.
- Assist with bagging purchases and, in some settings, basic merchandising or stock rotation.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, including those related to security and data protection.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Promote loyalty programs or special offers when applicable.
- Support inventory management by scanning items and reporting discrepancies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Cashier or in a similar customer service role (retail, hospitality, or supermarket).
