Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of manual labor tasks on construction sites, including digging, lifting, carrying materials, and operating basic hand and power tools.
- Assist skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, masons, electricians, and plumbers with their tasks.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, loading and unloading materials, and setting up and tearing down temporary structures.
- Operate basic heavy machinery and equipment under supervision, if certified and experienced.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately.
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project milestones are met.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Construction Worker or in a similar role (minimum 1 year).
- Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), bending, and standing.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety rules and procedures.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and strong work ethic.
- Basic knowledge of construction methods and materials.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certification in specific construction trades (e.g., carpentry, masonry, concrete work).
