Job Description
Healthpoint Hospital is actively seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to join our dynamic nursing team in Abu Dhabi. As a Registered Practical Nurse at Healthpoint, you will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care, supporting registered nurses and other healthcare professionals in various specialties, including but not limited to orthopaedics, sports medicine, rehabilitation, and general medical/surgical units. You will be responsible for administering medications, monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, performing wound care, and documenting patient observations accurately. We expect our RPNs to be proactive in assessing patient needs, implementing care plans, and communicating effectively with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing treatments.
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding.
- Observe, document, and report changes in patient conditions, symptoms, and behaviors to the Registered Nurse or physician.
- Perform wound care, collect specimens, and conduct basic diagnostic tests as per established protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including care plans, observations, and interventions.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Ensure a safe and clean patient environment, adhering to infection control policies and safety regulations.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges of patients, ensuring smooth transitions of care.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Valid Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) license from home country and eligibility for DOH (Department of Health Abu Dhabi) licensing.
- Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience as an RPN, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered care with compassion and empathy.
- Proficiency in administering medications and performing basic nursing procedures.
- Excellent observation, assessment, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices and patient safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Current DOH (Department of Health Abu Dhabi) license as an RPN.
- Experience in specialized areas such as orthopaedics, sports medicine, or rehabilitation.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
