Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a talented and passionate Video Editor to join our vibrant creative team in Crookes, Sheffield. Your day-to-day will involve hands-on editing of raw footage, sound design, motion graphics, and colour grading to produce high-quality videos that resonate with target audiences. You’ll work closely with our content strategists, marketing specialists, and designers to ensure a cohesive brand message and visual identity across all platforms. We’re looking for someone who can not only execute brilliant edits but also contribute creatively to initial concepts and post-production strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Edit raw video footage into polished, engaging, and high-quality final products for various platforms including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and websites.
- Develop and execute creative concepts for video content, specifically social media reels and short-form narratives.
- Apply advanced colour correction, sound design, and motion graphics to enhance visual appeal and storytelling.
- Collaborate with content creators, marketers, and project managers to understand project requirements and deliver on creative briefs.
- Manage and organize video assets, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project deadlines.
- Stay up-to-date with current video editing software, social media trends, and best practices in digital content creation.
- Provide creative input during pre-production and post-production phases, suggesting improvements and innovative approaches.
- Ensure all video content aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a consistent visual style and quality.
- Incorporate feedback effectively and iterate on edits to achieve desired outcomes.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
- Strong understanding of video editing principles, including pacing, timing, and visual storytelling.
- Demonstrable experience creating compelling short-form video content for social media (Reels, TikToks, Shorts).
- Solid knowledge of colour grading and audio mixing techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong aesthetic sense.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.

- Degree or diploma in Film Production, Media Studies, Graphic Design, or a related field.
