Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily feeding, watering, and general care of livestock according to established protocols.
- Monitor animals for signs of illness, injury, or behavioral changes, reporting observations promptly to veterinary staff or supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of animal enclosures, stalls, and surrounding areas.
- Assist with routine veterinary procedures, including vaccinations, deworming, and administering medication under supervision.
- Handle and restrain animals safely and humanely during examinations, treatments, or transfers.
- Keep accurate records of animal health, feeding, breeding, and movement.
- Operate and maintain farm equipment, tools, and vehicles as required.
- Participate in the implementation of animal enrichment programs to promote natural behaviors.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations and animal welfare standards.
- Assist in emergency response situations involving animals as needed.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of practical experience in livestock handling or animal care.
- Strong observational skills for detecting changes in animal health and behavior.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of animal husbandry practices and common livestock diseases.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
