As a Freelance Events & Commercial Photographer, you will be the visual architect of our clients’ most significant moments and brand narratives. Key Responsibilities
- Capturing high-quality images for various events (e.g., corporate functions, product launches, social gatherings, public relations events).
- Executing commercial photography projects for clients across diverse sectors (e.g., e-commerce, advertising, lifestyle, real estate).
- Utilizing professional-grade camera equipment, lighting, and editing software to produce superior visual content.
- Collaborating closely with clients and project managers to understand specific briefs, objectives, and brand guidelines.
- Planning and executing photoshoots, including scouting locations, coordinating subjects, and managing props/set elements.
- Performing post-production tasks, including culling, colour correction, retouching, and final image delivery within agreed timelines.
- Maintaining an organized digital asset management system for all photography projects.
- Adhering to strict deadlines and project specifications, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Providing creative input and suggesting innovative approaches to visual storytelling.
- Ensuring all equipment is well-maintained and in excellent working condition.
Required Skills
- Proven proficiency with professional DSLR/Mirrorless cameras, lenses, and accessories.
- Expertise in studio and on-location lighting techniques (natural and artificial).
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and other relevant photo editing software.
- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse event and commercial photography work.
- Excellent eye for composition, detail, and storytelling through imagery.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and subjects.
- Problem-solving aptitude and adaptability to various shooting environments.
- Ownership of professional photography equipment suitable for event and commercial assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
- Established network within Jamaica's creative or business communities.
- Familiarity with drone photography/videography for aerial shots.
- Knowledge of current trends in visual marketing and digital content creation.
