Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Insurance Advisor to join our growing team in Arbourthorne, Sheffield. This pivotal role involves managing the end-to-end lifecycle of insurance policies and claims, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer satisfaction. As an Insurance Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for clients, guiding them through complex policy details, assisting with new applications, renewals, and crucially, navigating the claims process with empathy and expertise. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert advice on insurance policies, coverage options, and terms and conditions.
  • Process new insurance applications, policy renewals, endorsements, and cancellations accurately and efficiently.
  • Guide clients through the claims submission process, assisting with documentation, liaising with underwriters, and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Conduct thorough policy reviews with clients, identifying opportunities to upsell or cross-sell relevant insurance products.
  • Maintain meticulous records of client interactions, policy details, and claims progress using our internal systems.
  • Investigate and resolve customer inquiries and complaints related to policies and claims with professionalism and discretion.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, product changes, and market trends to provide informed advice and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriting and actuarial departments, to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.
  • Educate clients on preventative measures and risk management strategies to minimize potential claims.
  • Contribute to team targets and objectives, striving for continuous improvement in service quality and efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an insurance advisory, policy administration, or claims processing role.
  • Strong understanding of various insurance products (e.g., home, motor, life, business).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and empathetically.
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse workload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with CRM or insurance management software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Problem-solving aptitude with a customer-centric approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) qualifications (e.g., Cert CII, Dip CII).
  • Experience with a specific insurance management system relevant to the UK market.
  • Fluency in additional languages relevant to the local community.
  • A track record of exceeding customer service or sales targets.
