Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all daily rig operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Develop, implement, and enforce strict safety protocols and environmental regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the rig crew, fostering a high-performance team culture and ensuring ongoing training and development.
- Plan and execute drilling or rigging programs, ensuring optimal resource utilization and operational productivity.
- Coordinate and manage equipment maintenance, repair schedules, and inventory to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions and emergency response plans as necessary.
- Monitor operational performance, prepare detailed reports, and communicate progress and challenges to stakeholders and senior management.
- Manage the operational budget, control costs, and ensure efficient allocation of financial and material resources.
- Ensure full compliance with local, national, and international industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Rig Manager or in a similar supervisory role within heavy industrial, drilling, or mining operations.
- Demonstrated expertise in drilling techniques, heavy machinery operation, and maintenance procedures.
- Exceptional leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills, capable of motivating and developing a diverse crew.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to operational challenges and complex technical issues.
- Thorough understanding of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in English; working knowledge of German is highly advantageous for local coordination.
- Valid industry-specific certifications (e.g., IADC Well Control, First Aid, relevant heavy equipment operating licenses).
