Career.zycto is searching for a meticulous and proactive Groundskeeper Estate Maintenance professional to join a vibrant team managing one of Nairobi’s most prestigious commercial and recreational hubs – Two Rivers Mall. This pivotal role involves maintaining the immaculate appearance and functionality of the mall’s extensive grounds, landscaping, and outdoor facilities. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine landscaping duties including mowing, weeding, pruning, planting, and mulching of flowerbeds, shrubs, and trees.
- Maintain irrigation systems, ensuring proper watering schedules and prompt repair of leaks or malfunctions.
- Monitor and manage pest control for plants and outdoor areas using appropriate and safe methods.
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of all outdoor common areas, pathways, parking lots, and recreational spaces.
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on outdoor furniture, fixtures, and other estate assets.
- Operate and maintain a variety of groundskeeping equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Report any major repair needs, safety hazards, or significant issues to management promptly.
- Assist with seasonal planting and decoration efforts to enhance the mall's aesthetic appeal.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a groundskeeper or in a similar estate maintenance role.
- Solid knowledge of horticultural practices, plant care, and pest management.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.).
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of property appearance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing maintenance needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in horticulture, landscaping, or a related field.
- Experience with automated irrigation systems.
