Career.zycto is seeking a diligent and reliable Office Messenger & Delivery Support professional to join our growing team. Based within the bustling Kenyatta University area of Nairobi, this vital role ensures the smooth and efficient handling of all incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and documents. You will be the crucial link in our daily operations, responsible for maintaining timely deliveries, inter-office communications, and external errands that keep our business running seamlessly. Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently collect, sort, and distribute internal and external mail, packages, and documents.
  • Handle urgent and sensitive deliveries promptly and securely, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Perform various errands as required, including bank deposits, procurement of office supplies, and other ad-hoc tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of all deliveries and dispatches, including signatures for receipt.
  • Ensure the proper use and maintenance of company vehicles or equipment used for deliveries, if applicable.
  • Assist with basic office support tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and filing when needed.
  • Communicate effectively with internal staff and external contacts to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  • Monitor inventory of office supplies and notify relevant personnel when reordering is necessary.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a messenger, delivery personnel, or in a similar support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Nairobi's Kenyatta University area and surrounding routes.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential materials.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to handle deliveries and stand for extended periods.
  • Valid Kenyan driving license (Class B or G) with a clean record, if driving is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with basic office equipment (copier, scanner, fax machine).
  • Basic computer literacy for logging and tracking purposes.
  • Prior experience working in an academic or corporate environment in Nairobi.
