Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of various tax documents and returns (e.g., VAT, income tax) in accordance with Tanzanian regulations.
  • Organize and maintain accurate digital and physical records of all financial transactions and tax-related documentation.
  • Reconcile financial statements and ledgers to ensure data accuracy for tax purposes.
  • Liaise with the finance department to gather necessary information and clarify discrepancies.
  • Support with administrative tasks such as data entry, photocopying, scanning, and filing of financial records.
  • Assist in responding to tax-related inquiries from internal departments or external bodies under supervision.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of all financial and tax-related information and adhere to data protection policies.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (1+ year) in an administrative or accounting support role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal, for internal and external correspondence.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive financial information and confidential data.
