Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of innovative interior design concepts from initial brief to final installation, ensuring alignment with client vision and project goals.
- Conduct thorough space planning, adjacency studies, and programming exercises to optimize functionality and flow within diverse interior environments.
- Select and specify furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), materials, finishes, and lighting, ensuring quality, durability, and aesthetic appeal.
- Produce detailed design documentation, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and 3D renderings using CAD and rendering software.
- Prepare comprehensive material boards and presentations for client review and approval, effectively communicating design intent and rationale.
- Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless integration of design elements and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Oversee the procurement process for specified items, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
- Conduct site visits and inspections throughout the project lifecycle to ensure design integrity and address any on-site challenges.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, sustainable design practices, and building codes and regulations.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring all deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio showcasing space planning and aesthetic capabilities.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrable understanding of design principles, color theory, material properties, and construction methods.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure.
