Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients and event planners to understand their vision and translate it into creative décor concepts.
  • Develop detailed mood boards, design proposals, and visual plans for various event types.
  • Source and procure decorative elements, including florals, lighting, linens, furniture, and props, ensuring quality and budget adherence.
  • Execute the physical setup and styling of event venues, adhering to design specifications and timelines.
  • Oversee the dismantling and removal of décor post-event, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of decorative items, ensuring proper storage and condition.
  • Stay updated on current décor trends, materials, and techniques to inspire innovative designs.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, coordinating with other event professionals to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Conduct site visits to assess venue suitability and plan décor placement.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an Event Decorator or similar creative role.
  • Exceptional creativity and an impeccable eye for design and aesthetics.
  • Strong understanding of colour theory, spatial arrangement, and visual merchandising principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team collaboration.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift, carry, and move decorative items.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • A portfolio demonstrating previous event décor projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in Event Management, Interior Design, Floral Design, or a related creative field.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for transporting décor.
  • Experience with various event types, including corporate, weddings, and private parties.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to event setup.
  • Experience in budget management for décor projects.
