Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily transport operations, including dispatch, routing, and fleet management.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of drivers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Monitor and optimize route efficiency to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all transport safety regulations and company policies.
  • Manage vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Utilize transport management systems (TMS) for real-time tracking and data analysis.
  • Resolve operational issues and emergencies quickly and effectively.
  • Prepare and present operational reports on fleet performance, costs, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline logistics processes and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Implement and promote best practices in transportation and logistics.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in transport or logistics supervision
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards (e.g., EU driving laws, HGV regulations)
  • Proficiency in logistics software and transport management systems (TMS)
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Fluent in German and English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
