Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily transport operations, including dispatch, routing, and fleet management.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of drivers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Monitor and optimize route efficiency to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Ensure strict adherence to all transport safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
- Utilize transport management systems (TMS) for real-time tracking and data analysis.
- Resolve operational issues and emergencies quickly and effectively.
- Prepare and present operational reports on fleet performance, costs, and compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline logistics processes and improve customer satisfaction.
- Implement and promote best practices in transportation and logistics.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in transport or logistics supervision
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards (e.g., EU driving laws, HGV regulations)
- Proficiency in logistics software and transport management systems (TMS)
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
