Career.zycto is seeking an exceptional and dedicated Hospitality Care Lead to manage our night shift operations in Harborne, Birmingham. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise night shift care team, ensuring adequate staffing and adherence to procedures.
- Oversee and provide direct personal care to residents in accordance with individual care plans.
- Administer medication safely and accurately, maintaining detailed records.
- Respond promptly and effectively to resident emergencies, liaising with healthcare professionals as needed.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of resident care, observations, and incidents.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents throughout the night.
- Act as the primary point of contact for residents, families, and external professionals during night hours.
- Facilitate effective handover communication with the day shift team.
- Promote a culture of respect, dignity, and independence among residents.
- Undertake regular checks on residents and the premises to ensure safety and security.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a care or hospitality setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory/leadership role.
- Relevant care qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent).
- Proficient in medication administration and documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team during night hours.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially under pressure.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for record-keeping.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working specifically with elderly or vulnerable adults.
- First Aid and Basic Life Support certification.
- Understanding of CQC (Care Quality Commission) regulations.
