Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mining Geologist to join our client’s dynamic team in Lichtenberg, Berlin. This full-time role offers a pivotal opportunity for a professional passionate about unearthing and evaluating mineral resources, contributing to project success from exploration through to operational support. You will be instrumental in ensuring the geological integrity of our client’s mining projects, providing expert insights that drive efficient and sustainable resource extraction. This position demands a keen eye for detail, robust analytical skills, and a commitment to best practices in geological science.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide array of tasks spanning field exploration, data analysis, resource modeling, and operational geology. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mining engineers, metallurgists, and environmental specialists, to achieve project objectives. This involves interpreting complex geological data, developing comprehensive geological models, and estimating mineral resources with precision and accuracy. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in planning and supervising drilling programs, logging core and chip samples, and ensuring strict adherence to quality control procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct geological mapping, core logging, and sample collection in accordance with industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain robust 3D geological models using specialized software for resource estimation and mine planning.
- Perform mineral resource and reserve estimation, ensuring compliance with international reporting codes (e.g., JORC, NI 43-101).
- Plan, supervise, and execute drilling programs, including contractor management and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) protocols.
- Interpret geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to identify and delineate mineralized zones.
- Provide geological support to mining operations, including grade control, blast hole logging, and reconciliation.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, presentations, and documentation of geological findings.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (mining engineers, metallurgists, environmental) to optimize project outcomes.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in geological modeling and resource estimation software (e.g., Leapfrog Geo, Micromine, Datamine, Surpac).
- Strong understanding of structural geology, economic geology, and mineral deposit styles.
- Proficiency in geological mapping, core logging, and sampling techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex geological and assay data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
- Professional registration or chartered geologist status (e.g., P.Geo, CGeol).
- Experience with various commodities (e.g., base metals, precious metals, industrial minerals).
- Familiarity with German mining regulations and environmental standards.
- Proficiency in German language (B2 level or higher).
