Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly proofread and edit a wide variety of digital and print content, including job descriptions, articles, marketing materials, website copy, and internal documents, for grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and consistency.
- Ensure all content adheres strictly to established brand style guides, tone of voice, and any specific client requirements.
- Verify factual accuracy and consistency in names, dates, figures, and other data points where applicable.
- Collaborate closely with content creators, marketing specialists, and other team members to provide constructive feedback and ensure content quality from conception to publication.
- Manage multiple proofreading projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Identify and document recurring errors or style inconsistencies to contribute to the continuous improvement of our content creation processes and style guides.
- Conduct final quality checks before content goes live or is published, ensuring a flawless end product.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a professional proofreader or copy editor, preferably within a digital media or online recruitment context.
- Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax.
- Demonstrable expertise in various style guides (e.g., AP, Chicago, in-house guides) and the ability to adapt to new ones quickly.
- Outstanding attention to detail and a keen eye for discrepancies, errors, and inconsistencies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of providing clear and constructive feedback.
- A meticulous and analytical approach to content review.
