Wisynco Group Limited is seeking a dedicated and energetic Warehouse Scanning Helper to join our robust logistics team in Spanish Town, St. Catherine. This critical full-time role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our expansive warehouse operations, ensuring that our products reach customers promptly and correctly. As a Warehouse Scanning Helper, you will be at the forefront of our inventory management system, utilizing state-of-the-art scanning technology to track incoming and outgoing goods, manage stock levels, and support order fulfillment processes. Your primary responsibility will involve accurately scanning products, verifying quantities against documentation, and ensuring proper placement and storage within the warehouse. You will play a vital role in preventing inventory discrepancies, ensuring product traceability, and contributing to the overall smooth flow of goods. Key Responsibilities
- Operate handheld scanners and other relevant equipment to accurately record and track inventory movement, including receipts, transfers, and shipments.
- Verify product counts against packing lists, purchase orders, and other documentation to ensure accuracy before storage or dispatch.
- Identify and promptly report any discrepancies in inventory, product damage, or labeling issues to the supervisory team.
- Assist with the proper storage and organization of products within the warehouse, adhering strictly to company safety and quality standards.
- Support the picking and packing processes by scanning items for order fulfillment, ensuring correct products and quantities are prepared.
- Conduct periodic inventory counts and reconciliation as required to maintain stock integrity.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times, following established safety protocols.
- Collaborate effectively and professionally with team members, supervisors, and other departments to achieve daily operational goals.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with using handheld scanning devices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, standing for extended periods, and repetitive motions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and possesses a strong, proactive work ethic.
- Ability to read, write, and understand instructions in English clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory management role.
- Familiarity with inventory management software or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse machinery (certification is a significant plus).
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
