Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of care staff, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Assist in the coordination of daily care activities, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of person-centred care, adhering to all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Support the management team in staff scheduling, performance monitoring, and training needs assessment.
- Act as a point of contact for residents, families, and external professionals, ensuring effective communication.
- Oversee the administration of medication, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
- Conduct regular care plan reviews and assessments, ensuring they accurately reflect residents' needs.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and critical incidents, ensuring the safety and well-being of all.
- Champion safeguarding protocols and promote a culture of dignity, respect, and independence.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming residential environment.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a residential care setting (e.g., as a Care Assistant or Support Worker).
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for caring for others.
- Basic IT literacy for record-keeping and communication.
- Ability to complete comprehensive training modules provided by the company.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a senior care assistant or team leader role.
- Knowledge of CQC regulations and best practices in adult social care.
- First Aid certification.
