Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of care staff, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Assist in the coordination of daily care activities, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of person-centred care, adhering to all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Support the management team in staff scheduling, performance monitoring, and training needs assessment.
  • Act as a point of contact for residents, families, and external professionals, ensuring effective communication.
  • Oversee the administration of medication, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
  • Conduct regular care plan reviews and assessments, ensuring they accurately reflect residents' needs.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and critical incidents, ensuring the safety and well-being of all.
  • Champion safeguarding protocols and promote a culture of dignity, respect, and independence.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming residential environment.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a residential care setting (e.g., as a Care Assistant or Support Worker).
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for caring for others.
  • Basic IT literacy for record-keeping and communication.
  • Ability to complete comprehensive training modules provided by the company.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a senior care assistant or team leader role.
  • Knowledge of CQC regulations and best practices in adult social care.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Experience with care planning and risk assessment.
