Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring security systems for anomalies and potential threats.
- Learn to identify, analyze, and report security incidents under supervision.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security tools and technologies.
- Contribute to developing and updating security documentation and procedures.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing efforts, learning from senior staff.
- Help ensure compliance with internal security policies and relevant industry regulations.
- Assist with user access management and security awareness initiatives.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay current with cybersecurity trends and threats.
- Collaborate with IT teams to address security-related issues and ensure best practices are followed.
Required Skills
- Recently graduated or pursuing a diploma/degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese; working knowledge of English is an advantage.
- High degree of curiosity, proactivity, and a strong desire to learn and grow in the cybersecurity domain.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Demonstrated foundational knowledge of IT principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with basic cybersecurity concepts (e.g., firewalls, antivirus, basic network protocols like TCP/IP, DNS).
- Any relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+ Fundamentals, or actively studying for Security+).
- Previous internship or project experience in IT support, systems administration, or a security-focused role.
- Demonstrated passion for cybersecurity through personal projects, online courses, or community involvement.
- Understanding of the financial services industry or regulatory environments.
