As our Community Care Lead Supervisor, you will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of care quality and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of community care workers, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
- Conduct initial client assessments, develop personalised care plans, and regularly review outcomes to ensure high-quality, person-centred care.
- Ensure all care services are delivered in full compliance with CIW regulations, company policies, and best practice guidelines.
- Manage staff rostering, ensure appropriate staffing levels, and allocate resources efficiently to meet client needs.
- Provide regular supervision, training, and mentorship to care staff, identifying development opportunities and addressing performance issues.
- Act as a first point of contact for client and staff queries, concerns, and complaints, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide out-of-hours support and guidance to care staff and clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and contribute to internal reporting processes.
- Collaborate with external professionals, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic client support.
- Undertake regular quality audits and implement corrective actions as required to drive continuous service improvement.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience within a community or domiciliary care setting.
- Excellent understanding of CIW regulations and safeguarding procedures.
- Demonstrable leadership and team management abilities, including coaching and mentoring.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in care planning, risk assessment, and effective record-keeping.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a diverse workload efficiently.
- Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel within the community.
- Strong IT literacy, including experience with care management software.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ/QCF Level 4 or 5 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent relevant qualification.
- Experience in conducting internal audits and preparing for regulatory inspections.
- First Aid certification.
- Knowledge of local community resources and services in Cardiff.
