Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospitality Care Lead for our night shift operations in Wandsworth, London. Working autonomously yet collaboratively, you will oversee all night-time activities, manage a team of care assistants, and act as the first point of contact for any concerns or emergencies. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the night shift care team, ensuring all duties are performed to the highest standard.
- Oversee the nightly operational activities, including ensuring security, cleanliness, and smooth transitions between shifts.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all resident/guest enquiries, concerns, or emergencies during the night.
- Respond promptly and effectively to any incidents, accidents, or urgent situations, escalating as necessary.
- Administer medication as per individual care plans and company policies, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Conduct regular checks of premises, ensuring the safety and security of all individuals and the environment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records, including incident reports, care plans, and daily logs.
- Provide direct personal care and support to residents/guests as required, adhering to their care plans.
- Foster a calm, respectful, and supportive atmosphere for residents/guests and colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and CQC standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a supervisory or lead role within a care or hospitality setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrable ability to lead and motivate a team effectively during night hours.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for record-keeping and communication.
- First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
- Experience working specifically on night shifts in a care or residential setting.
- Medication administration training and experience.
- Dementia awareness or other specialist care training.
