Career.zycto is seeking an inspiring and dedicated Dementia Care Supervisor to lead our night shift team in Harrow, London. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of care assistants during the night shift.
- Ensure the provision of high-quality, person-centred care to residents living with dementia.
- Administer medication accurately and according to prescribed guidelines.
- Conduct regular rounds to monitor residents' well-being and identify any changes in condition.
- Respond effectively to emergencies, escalating concerns to relevant healthcare professionals when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of care provided, observations, and incidents.
- Promote a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment for all residents.
- Liaise with families and day staff to ensure continuity of care and effective communication.
- Assist with personal care, mobility, and feeding as required.
- Support staff development through mentoring, training, and performance feedback.
- Manage admissions and discharges during the night, ensuring smooth transitions.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a care setting, preferably with dementia patients.
- Demonstrable understanding of dementia care principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong observational and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- First Aid and Basic Life Support certification.
