Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Home Support Workers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop, implement, and monitor personalised care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Conduct initial client assessments and regular reviews to ensure care plans remain appropriate and effective.
- Oversee scheduling, rostering, and allocation of support staff to ensure optimal service delivery and continuity of care.
- Provide ongoing training, supervision, and performance evaluations for Home Support Workers.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, families, and external stakeholders, addressing concerns and maintaining strong relationships.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant CQC regulations, company policies, and best practice guidelines.
- Manage and resolve day-to-day operational challenges and emergencies efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and administrative documentation.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required to provide leadership and support outside of regular hours.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role within domiciliary care, home support, or a related field.
- Proven experience in care plan development, assessment, and review.
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and best practices in adult social care.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in using care management software and basic office applications.
- Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel within Barnet.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, demonstrating strong organisational skills.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care, or a relevant leadership/management qualification.
- Experience with complex care needs or specialised support services.
- Prior experience with digital care planning and reporting systems.
- Fluency in additional languages relevant to the diverse community in Barnet.
