Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and meticulous Remote Policy Compliance Report Analyst to join our dedicated team. This critical role involves monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on the company’s adherence to internal policies, industry regulations, and legal frameworks, specifically within the insurance sector. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring that BIC maintains its robust compliance posture while operating efficiently in a remote capacity. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret compliance-related data from various internal systems and external sources.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and regulatory review.
- Monitor changes in regulatory landscapes and internal policies, assessing their impact on company operations.
- Identify and investigate potential policy breaches or compliance risks, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Conduct periodic reviews of operational procedures to ensure alignment with established compliance standards.
- Collaborate with legal, risk management, and operational teams to ensure a consistent approach to compliance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new compliance policies and procedures.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all compliance activities and reports.
- Provide recommendations for improving compliance controls and reporting mechanisms.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in compliance analysis, risk management, or regulatory reporting within the financial services/insurance industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to produce clear and concise reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables) and other data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to the insurance sector in Botswana.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote environment.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification in Compliance (e.g., CAMS, CRCM) or Risk Management.
