Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough user research, interviews, and usability testing to deeply understand user needs, behaviours, and motivations.
- Translate complex conceptual ideas and user research insights into intuitive user flows, comprehensive wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Design and deliver visually stunning and highly functional UI designs for both web and mobile applications, rigorously ensuring brand consistency, accessibility standards (WCAG), and a polished user experience.
- Collaborate extensively with product managers, front-end developers, back-end engineers, and other key stakeholders to define, refine, and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visual design, and overall user experience.
- Present and articulate design decisions and rationale to stakeholders, effectively advocating for user-centered design principles and best practices.
- Iterate on designs based on constructive feedback, outcomes from user testing, and analytical data to continuously enhance and optimise the user experience.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of our design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency across all products and platforms.
Required Skills
- Proven proficiency in leading design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- A strong, demonstrable portfolio showcasing a deep understanding of UX/UI principles, user flows, wireframing, and interactive prototyping.
- Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail, composition, typography, and a strong sensitivity to user-system interaction.
- Practical experience with various user research methodologies (e.g., surveys, interviews) and conducting usability testing.
- Ability to work effectively, autonomously, and collaboratively within a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly presenting and defending design concepts.
- A foundational understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- Experience designing for complex enterprise-level applications or large-scale digital platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and working within an iterative design process.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and practical experience in implementing inclusive designs.
- Experience with animation or motion design principles for enhancing user interfaces and micro-interactions.
