Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in domestic properties, including new builds, renovations, and extensions.
- Execute complex industrial wiring projects, including machine installations, control panel wiring, and system upgrades in commercial and manufacturing facilities.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely using appropriate testing equipment.
- Install, test, and commission various electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, data cabling, and fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to execute projects accurately.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure the longevity and reliability of electrical infrastructure.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, company policies, and relevant legislation at all times.
- Provide detailed reports and documentation of all work performed, including material usage and time spent.
- Liaise effectively with clients, project managers, and other trades to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, managing tools and equipment responsibly.
Required Skills
- Fully qualified Electrician (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation).
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018+A2:2022) certification.
- Proven experience in both domestic and industrial electrical environments.
- Proficiency in fault finding, testing, and inspection of electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation pertinent to electrical work.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
Preferred Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification.
- Experience with PLC wiring and automation systems.
- Familiarity with NICEIC or ECA standards and certification processes.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience in a client-facing role.
