Job Description

Are you a meticulous analyst with a passion for digital marketing and a keen eye for detail? Absa Bank Botswana is seeking a highly skilled Digital Ads Performance Auditing Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team in Serowe. In an increasingly digital world, our online presence and advertising effectiveness are paramount. This pivotal role involves a deep dive into our digital advertising campaigns across various platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, programmatic channels) to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and compliance. You will be responsible for independently and systematically auditing campaign setup, targeting parameters, audience segmentation, bidding strategies, ad copy, creative assets, and landing page relevance. Your work will be crucial in identifying discrepancies, uncovering opportunities for significant performance improvements, and driving cost efficiencies across our substantial digital advertising spend.

This is not just about reporting on past performance; it’s about proactively identifying root causes of issues, providing actionable and data-driven recommendations, and contributing directly to the strategic evolution of our digital marketing investments. You will collaborate closely with internal marketing managers, external advertising agencies, and data analytics teams to translate complex performance metrics and campaign data into clear, concise insights. These insights will directly inform strategic decision-making, optimize budget allocation, and ultimately maximize our return on advertising spend (ROAS). If you are driven by data, committed to excellence, possess a strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, and are eager to make a tangible and measurable impact on a leading financial institution’s digital footprint, we encourage you to apply for this challenging and rewarding opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive, regular audits of all active digital advertising campaigns (e.g., search, social, programmatic) across various platforms for Absa Bank Botswana.
  • Analyze campaign performance data to identify trends, anomalies, potential fraud, and areas of underperformance or inefficiency.
  • Evaluate campaign structure, targeting parameters, keyword relevance, audience segmentation, bidding strategies, and ad creative effectiveness.
  • Assess landing page quality, user experience, and conversion funnels for alignment with campaign objectives and best practices.
  • Verify adherence to brand guidelines, regulatory compliance, and internal marketing policies in all digital ad creatives and messaging.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, risks, performance gaps, and actionable recommendations for optimization and remediation.
  • Collaborate with marketing managers and external agencies to implement recommended changes and track their impact.
  • Monitor industry best practices, emerging ad technologies, and changes in platform algorithms to inform auditing methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain auditing checklists, standards, and documentation to ensure consistency and thoroughness.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Absa's digital advertising strategies and overall marketing effectiveness.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in digital advertising, with a strong focus on campaign management, analysis, or auditing.
  • Proven expertise with major digital advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Ads).
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into clear, actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Google Data Studio, Tableau) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing KPIs, attribution models, and conversion tracking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in Google Ads, Meta Blueprint, or other digital marketing platforms.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of financial services industry regulations and compliance standards related to advertising.
  • Experience with A/B testing methodologies and conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles.
