Key Responsibilities
- Perform precision fitting, assembly, and installation of new industrial machinery and mechanical components.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and malfunctions, troubleshoot issues, and execute timely repairs.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals to guide installation and maintenance procedures.
- Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery (e.g., lathes, grinders) safely and effectively.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and quality standards during all operations.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to improve machine reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and part replacements.
- Assist in training junior technicians and sharing knowledge on best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Machine Fitter or Industrial Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and power transmission systems.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Skilled in using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, dial indicators).
- Ability to perform welding, fabrication, and machining tasks as required.
