Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of food items, including salads, hot meals, baked goods, and sandwiches, according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all food preparation and storage areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with strict health and safety regulations, including HACCP principles.
- Portion and present food attractively for display in the service counter or for catering orders.
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper holding and serving temperatures are maintained to prevent spoilage and ensure food safety.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies to minimize waste.
- Provide friendly and efficient service to customers, answering questions and assisting with their catering needs.
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth and timely service.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to uniform, attendance, and conduct.
