Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on time, including managing deductions, tax filings, and year-end reporting.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and follow-up on outstanding debts.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial records, including journals, ledgers, and other accounting documentation.
- Generate weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with the preparation for annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
- Process employee expenses and company credit card statements.
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role (minimum 3 years).
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Excel.
- Demonstrable experience with payroll processing and associated compliance.
