Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests, ensuring a positive and memorable onboard experience.
- Perform assigned duties efficiently and to the highest standards, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, cleanliness, and safety in all work areas.
- Actively participate in required training sessions, safety drills, and team meetings.
- Collaborate effectively with multicultural colleagues to foster a positive work environment.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and requests promptly and courteously.
- Contribute to various operational tasks as directed by departmental management (e.g., dining, housekeeping, retail, deck operations, entertainment).
- Adhere to strict health, safety, and environmental regulations onboard the vessel.
Required Skills
- Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.
- Proven customer service experience, preferably in a hospitality or service-oriented role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure, multicultural environment.
- Adaptability and resilience, with a positive 'can-do' attitude.
- Ability to work long hours and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Basic computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working on a cruise ship or in a luxury hotel/resort setting.
- Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., French, Spanish, German).
- Formal qualifications or certifications in hospitality, culinary arts, maritime studies, or a related field.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- STCW certification (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers) or willingness to obtain it.
