Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor user-generated content, comments, and discussions across various online platforms to ensure adherence to community guidelines and terms of service.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to user inquiries, feedback, and reports, offering assistance and redirecting complex issues to relevant departments.
  • Identify and address inappropriate content, spam, misinformation, and other violations, taking necessary actions such as content removal, warnings, or temporary bans.
  • De-escalate conflicts and mediate disputes between community members, promoting a positive and respectful dialogue.
  • Engage actively with the community, fostering a welcoming atmosphere and encouraging constructive participation.
  • Collaborate with marketing, customer support, and product teams to provide insights from community feedback and ensure consistent brand messaging.
  • Stay informed about current online trends, platform updates, and best practices in community management and moderation.
  • Generate regular reports on community activity, moderation actions, and emerging trends.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of community guidelines and moderation strategies.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in online community moderation, social media management, or a related field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with a strong emphasis on clarity, empathy, and diplomacy.
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and make quick, informed decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong understanding of online behaviour, internet culture, and the challenges of managing digital communities.
  • Proficiency with various social media platforms, online forums, and community management tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
  • High level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Problem-solving aptitude with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with specific community platforms such as Discord, Reddit, or large-scale forum moderation.
  • Familiarity with crisis management and reputation management in an online context.
  • Background in customer service or support roles.
