Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of care staff, ensuring high standards of care delivery.
- Develop, review, and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Oversee the daily operations of care services, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and internal policies.
- Conduct regular quality assurance checks and risk assessments to maintain a safe and supportive environment.
- Manage staff rotas, allocate duties, and provide ongoing training and performance support.
- Act as a primary point of contact for residents' families regarding care and well-being.
- Administer medication safely and accurately, and maintain precise care records.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of experience in an elderly care setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrable understanding of CQC regulations and best practices in elderly care.
- Proficiency in care planning, risk assessment, and record-keeping.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care or higher.
- Experience with digital care planning systems.
- First Aid certification.
- Driving license with access to a vehicle (advantageous for external meetings).
