Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate weekend care schedules, ensuring all client needs are met effectively and timely.
  • Provide direct personal care and support to clients as needed, maintaining a hands-on approach.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for care staff during weekend shifts, offering guidance and immediate support.
  • Conduct introductory assessments and reviews with clients, ensuring care plans are person-centred and up-to-date.
  • Ensure all care provided adheres to Career.zycto’s policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with the induction and ongoing mentorship of new and junior care staff, fostering a collaborative team spirit.
  • Address and resolve any client or staff concerns or issues that arise during weekend operations.
  • Accurately record and report all relevant information, including incidents, changes in client condition, and staff updates.
  • Liaise with the senior management team regarding weekend operations and any significant developments.
  • Manage care-related documentation, ensuring compliance and confidentiality.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect effectively with clients and staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • A compassionate, empathetic, and patient approach to care.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a valued member of a team.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications for record-keeping and scheduling.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel between client locations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (paid or voluntary) in a care-giving capacity.
  • SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Basic First Aid and Manual Handling certification.
  • Understanding of care quality standards and safeguarding principles.
