Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Entry-Level Hospitality Event Planner to join our dynamic team in Forest Side, Curepipe. As an Entry-Level Hospitality Event Planner, you will be instrumental in supporting our senior planners across all phases of event management, from initial concept development to post-event analysis. You’ll gain hands-on experience in vendor coordination, budget management, logistics planning, and on-site execution for a wide array of events, including corporate gatherings, elegant social celebrations, impactful conferences, and bespoke private functions. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior event planners in the research, planning, and execution of various events.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and venue staff to ensure seamless event delivery and setup.
  • Support the creation and management of event timelines, budgets, and detailed checklists.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative event concepts, themes, and design elements.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as preparing proposals, contracts, presentations, and reports.
  • Provide on-site support during events, ensuring all aspects run smoothly and addressing any immediate issues.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their vision is meticulously brought to life.
  • Assist with post-event evaluations, including feedback collection, data analysis, and compiling summary reports.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Prior internship or volunteer experience in event planning, hospitality, or a customer service role.
  • Fluency in French.
  • Familiarity with event management software or CRM systems is a plus.
