Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior surveyors in conducting land surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking.
  • Operate and maintain various surveying instruments, including total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, and automatic levels.
  • Accurately record field data, measurements, and observations in logbooks or digital data collectors.
  • Set up and adjust surveying equipment over survey points.
  • Clear vegetation and obstacles on survey lines to ensure clear sightlines.
  • Help establish and maintain survey control points.
  • Perform basic computations and checks on field measurements.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and site-specific regulations.
  • Assist in the transportation of equipment and personnel to and from job sites.
  • Learn and apply fundamental surveying principles under supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with CAD software or geospatial information systems (GIS) is a plus
  • Previous experience with surveying equipment (even in a learning capacity)
