Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using the right methods and tools.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
  • Explain Vodacom products, services, and promotions clearly and concisely to customers.
  • Process orders, forms, applications, and requests efficiently.
  • Maintain customer records by updating account information and recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments.
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies.
  • Go the extra mile to engage customers and achieve customer satisfaction targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of complex customer issues.
  • Continuously learn about new products, services, and changes in company policies.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Sesotho.
  • Strong active listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service, call centre, or retail environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices.
  • Knowledge of the telecommunications industry or Vodacom products/services.
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Business Administration).
