Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Advisor – Corporate Counsel to join our legal team in Hurghada. This critical role will be instrumental in providing expert legal advice and support across all facets of our corporate operations, particularly focusing on our extensive real estate, hospitality, and leisure projects within El Gouna and the wider Hurghada region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local and international laws, mitigating legal risks, and safeguarding the company’s interests. You will work closely with various departments, including executive management, project development, sales, operations, and human resources, offering strategic guidance on contracts, corporate governance, regulatory matters, and dispute resolution. This position demands a proactive individual with a robust understanding of Egyptian commercial, corporate, and real estate law, coupled with exceptional analytical and communication skills. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal advice and support to all corporate functions, including executive management, operations, finance, and human resources.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Manage corporate governance matters, including preparing board resolutions, minutes, and ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks.
- Advise on real estate development, sales, and leasing agreements, property acquisition, and land use regulations relevant to our projects.
- Conduct legal research and provide accurate, timely, and practical legal opinions on various corporate and commercial issues.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks across the company's operations, proactively developing strategies to ensure compliance.
- Represent the company in negotiations and liaise with external legal counsel, governmental bodies, and regulatory authorities when necessary.
- Manage and oversee litigation and dispute resolution processes, striving for favorable outcomes while minimizing exposure.
- Ensure strict adherence to Egyptian laws and regulations, as well as relevant international standards affecting our business.
- Develop and deliver legal training and awareness programs to internal stakeholders as required.
Required Skills
- Bachelor of Law (LLB) from a reputable university.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience as a Corporate Counsel or Legal Advisor, preferably within real estate, hospitality, or large-scale development sectors.
- Admitted to practice law in Egypt.
- Profound knowledge of Egyptian commercial, corporate, civil, and real estate law.
- Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance principles and regulatory compliance.
- Fluent in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) is essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree (LLM) in Corporate Law, Commercial Law, or International Business Law.
- Experience with international legal frameworks and cross-border transactions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex legal matters simultaneously.
