Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate daily care services, ensuring high standards of delivery.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of care staff.
  • Conduct comprehensive client assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and internal policies.
  • Manage staff rotas and allocate duties effectively, accommodating flexible working arrangements.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, families, and care staff regarding service delivery and concerns.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Participate in the recruitment, induction, and ongoing professional development of care personnel.
  • Handle complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to data protection guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Minimum Level 3 NVQ/RQF in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Proven supervisory experience in an adult social care setting (minimum 4 years).
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and best practices in care delivery.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement person-centred care plans.
  • Proficiency in record-keeping and administrative tasks.
  • Full UK Driving License and access to own vehicle.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including some evenings and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services.
  • Experience with care management software systems.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Advanced training in areas such as dementia care or challenging behaviour.
